Frostbite Advisory

Frostbite Advisory January 25-27, 2015

Ottawa Public Health is calling a Frostbite Advisory for January 25-27, 2015.  A Frostbite Advisory is issued when a wind chill of -25 or colder is forecast.    

Key service providers are encouraged to monitor the weather and take cold weather precautions to ensure the safety of individuals. The Cold Weather Resource Kit is available on line at Ottawa.ca.

Students will remain indoors when the temperature is colder than -25 but will be on the yard for play if the temperature is warmer than -25.

Students are encouraged to dress in layers (shirt, sweater, jacket) for the cold weather warm hats, mittens/gloves and warm socks and footwear.
